Proměny maskulinit

The book Proměny maskulinit (Transformations of Masculinity) is a trans-genre anthology connecting a diverse mosaic of approaches and paths to the topic of masculinity on a personal, artistic, philosophical, and scientific level. Together, we create new forms of masculinity. Through forty-four contributions, the book presents a variety of perspectives and approaches to the topic of masculinity—from scientific texts, interviews, and personal essays to original texts and poems to artistic contributions such as drawings, photographs, and collages.

In the introductory section, readers encounter more theoretically focused texts to familiarize themselves with the conceptual apparatus. In the second section, we move to a personal level, where masculinity can be perceived through individual experience. In the following part of the book, we focus on the experience of masculinity in relationships, and in the next chapter, we focus on the lived experience of parenthood and masculinities within the roles of fatherhood and motherhood. In the following part, we explore masculinity as a spectrum, and in the last chapter, we focus on sacred masculinities to explore the divine aspects of the inner self. Between chapters, we return to our own physicality through meditation and imagination, and the book is complemented by a thematic playlist.
