Two siblings miss the bus to school in the morning and have an extraordinary day. They rent a small boat and sail across the bay, back through the harbour, climb the cliff and even take a skinny dip in the cold sea. The adventure-filled journey, punctuated by arguments and reconciliation, ends at sunset. The book captures the poetic atmosphere of a small fishing village full of vibrant colours.
