Hello Incognito – Prepare to die, cutie pie

The third studio album by Prague-based musician Hello Incognito marks a shift from intimate lo-fi folk toward a fuller band-oriented sound. Created in collaboration with Antonín Mika, Julian Werl, and Vendula Pukyšová, the album combines straightforward arrangements with the project’s signature playfulness and melancholic sense of humor.

Prepare to die, cutie pie is an introspective record about everyday pressure, social anxiety, FOMO, and the search for balance between work and personal life. Drawing inspiration from bands like Happy Jawbone Family Band and Being Dead, the album also heavily leans into video game aesthetics — from its title, referencing a generic enemy line before combat, to subtle motifs scattered throughout the songs. The gaming world becomes a metaphor for personal battles with fear and insecurity.
