The author's book Threatened Species presents a set of 37 prints by Jan Šrámek depicting important buildings of Czechoslovak architecture from the period 1953–1989. The drawings feature not only iconic buildings such as Ještěd Department Store, Transgas, etc., but also lesser-known buildings from the regions. The emphasis is mainly on endangered or already demolished buildings (Mazutka, Prior Brno, Cultural House in Pilsen, etc.). The illustrations are accompanied by text written by Ladislav Jackson. The aim of the publication is to draw attention to the issue of monument conservation of domestic buildings from the post-war period. The project of the author's book Threatened Species is a continuation of the previous publication Special Circumstances, for which the author won the award Illustrator of the Year in the competition Czech Grand Design 2017. The book is published by FFA BUT and PageFive.
