Everyone he ever knew has been dead for centuries. Isolation and loneliness accompany him through a desolate landscape that, like an ice mirror of colossal dimensions, carelessly reflects these emotions back. The deaf echoes of civilization after the collapse continue to resonate with the characteristic patterns of behavior of human beings who simply refuse to finally die out. Most survive in the classic style, but there are mysterious places where technology and dark magic combine for this purpose. One of these places is a city that, though crippled by the apocalypse, still parodies normal life. There, fate leads the steps of a rat exterminator. But rodents are the least of this city's problems.
