Narrative, thematically conceived picture book Bohumil Kubista - Brilliant Crystal brings a new appreciation of the author, who for thirty years have not been given a separate consideration, although it is a founding personality of Czech modern painting. It deals with issues that shape Kubištův attitude toward the world. It affects how was his relationship to God and religion, to life and death for men and women as they define against his generation, as he shaped her artistic journey, follows the artist's relationship to the color and the golden section. Many examples of older European painting reminds paintings, which are Kubišta engaged in their reviews and analyzes which tried to convert them into his own work. The book also brings certain unpublished works and many detailed reproductions of paintings explores the pivotal Kubištová. It is based on previously unpublished archival material, bringing information about the disease Kubištová mother, a legal dispute arising from the affair in the cafeteria Union as well as the artist's contribution to the sinking of a French submarine Curie. Biographical section also monitors the fate Kubištova reference in the twentieth century, especially his solo exhibition, which significantly influenced subsequent generations.
