The poetry collections, poems and prose texts of Milan Koch (October 3, 1948 Prague - November 18, 1974 Prague) date from the years 1965-1974 and in this volume they are arranged according to the samizdat editions acquired by Koch's wife Mirka Kochová (1951-1975), taking into account the few original authorial samizdat editions that have been archived.
Until now, Koch's literary work has been known only from three smaller collections, which were published in regular print in 1992, 2006 and 2017, only now is it being published in its entirety.
Koch's poems and prose were first heavily influenced by American Beat Generation authors, and thus rank in the Czech context with the poetic work of, for example, the Czech Republic. It was also influenced by surrealism, his spontaneous, so-called automatic writing drawing on the subconscious. Gradually, however, Koch developed his own unique expression, which is particularly evident in his extensive poetic compositions Red Riding Hood, Elections, Christmas, and Quadrophonic Poem for Egon Bondy.

Milan Koch may have joined the circle of authors of the Czech underground community of the 1970s, but his literary work is so distinctive in its diversity and richness that it defies any clear classification.
