In Anna Řezníčková's (1996) observations, hesitation, discretion and seriousness are always close by. The poet is usually not content with a first, second or third look. She stares, hesitates, deliberates on and on, until the observed (e.g., the blanket on the porter's lodge) unfolds or becomes transparent and reveals something inside, something beyond what we readers have never seen. We are both amazed and enchanted.

Anna Řezníčková (1996) graduated from the Department of Literary Production at the University of Creative Communication, worked at the publishing house Nová beseda, and now works in a library.
